The HP LaserJet 2015 printer and its functions come wrapped up in a nice, square or boxy-looking shape that belies its serious performance potential. This monochrome laser printer is compact, prints out at very nice rates of speed and has good overall quality of text. It comes with Hewlett-Packard’s 24/7 tech support and also delivers low cost-per-page at a nice retail price.
It’s evident that HP intends for this laser printer to make for the ideal machine for any home office or small office environment. It’s compact enough that it can fit easily on a desktop, nestled up right next to a computer and it also doesn’t weigh much, coming in at a decent 24 pounds in total. It should be easy enough to move around, if need be.
For a printer in this price range, print speed is outstanding across-the-board. The 2015 is rated at 26 pages per minute of print output in standard size paper. This is in what Hewlett-Packard refers to as “workgroup mode, ” meaning that the printer will do this kind of printing even when it’s used as a small network workgroup unit, which also means the printer is even more versatile than intended.
It’s also the case that the 2015 can be hooked up fairly quickly to most any computer or a workgroup or network. It does this through standard wired technologies, including Ethernet and USB ports. This invariably pleases the hearts of most information technology specialists, all of whom dread having to spend more than 10 minutes hooking up one of these printers to a network. Happily, that won’t be the case with the 2015.
Print resolutions when it comes to the 2015 are also generally excellent across all assessment criteria. The 2015 comes with 1200 x 1200 dpi capability and everything will come out of the printer looking fairly sharp and crisp. It can handle graphics-rich print jobs as well as print tasks featuring many pictures, which is also a nice function to have.
It only takes around 8.5 seconds from the time the print job is tasked until the first page begins to emerge from the output slot on the printer. That puts this particular HP model ahead of many others in its peer group, where 11 to 12 seconds is the standard. A 400 MHz processor is partly the reason why the printer can take its jobs weekly and then deliver them just as speedily.
Installed memory will come in at 32 MB, though the printer can be upgraded to 288 MB of RAM with relatively little trouble. Combined with that 400 MHz processor, the printer should be able to handle most tasks within a workgroup with little trouble and certainly will not even breathe hard when it’s put through its paces by a single user sending it jobs from a single computer.
In all, there certainly seems to be much to be pleased about when it comes to the HP LaserJet 2015 printer. It can hold up to 300 sheets of paper, including 250 sheets in an auto load input tray and it retails for a very nice $350, though some websites are asking twice that. Combining outstanding print speed and excellent in quality, the 2015 delivers all asked to do and even a little bit more. To change the ink, find some HP 2015 cartridges online and get it. You can never have enough toner and ink cartridge. You can find the better deals on HP printer toners online than in stores.
